The Green Nails That Everybody is Wearing

There’s no denying that autumn and winter nail trends are some of our favourites. Out of all the 2021 nail trends that you need to know, green nails have become our new go-to. In fact, we’re betting that they’re the nail color everyone is going to be wearing this winter. There’s something whimsical about forest green that has us becoming the ‘main character’ on our morning Starbucks run.

If you want to know what nail polish to invest in for your makeup bag for fall/winter 2021, it’s dark green. Pinterest – our go-to for all beauty trend predictions – saw a 75% increase in users looking for ‘dark green nails’ and a 55% surge in searches for ‘acrylic nails green’. Like always, Pinterest users are on the ball with their latest beauty trend.

When we took a scroll through our favourite nail Instagram accounts, we weren’t surprised to see those tiny squares full of images of neatly manicured green nails. After all, it’s one of the ‘it’ colours in the fashion industry for the season – making it a natural choice for nail trends.

Why are green nails trending?

It’s because they’re an unexpected neutral. Green nails are effortlessly chic and perfectly seasonal for the colder months of the year. There’s something about green nails that scream changing leaves and pumpkin spice lattes. It’s time to ditch your classic ballerina pink or wave goodbye to the black nail polish that you’ve been wearing since high school. Green is one nail polish hue that everyone should be wearing.
