The founding principle for choosing which products to stock is ‘clean above all else’. The brand advocates for absolute transparency, giving its community the knowledge and tools that it needs to make an informed decision on which products to use.

Oh My Cream is built on the philosophy and values of its founder, Juliette – authenticity, benevolence, and humility. The brand is committed to throwing back the curtains and showing what the brand is like behind the scenes, with a commitment to transparency.

The Oh My Cream team has a passion for beauty at the heart of everything it does. It aims at being innovative, using experts and the latest research to develop the brand’s strength and provide the must-have up-and-coming products of the future.

The philosophy of Oh My Cream

One of the things that we love about Oh My Cream is that it’s a 100% female company. While this happened by accident, we think it proves the power of female entrepreneurship to bring innovation to the beauty industry. While the brand works with male consultants through their agencies, who support their daily work, the core team is all women.

As a female-founded business, Oh My Cream is a futuristic brand that is committed to supporting its employees. It offers everything from flexible maternity leave to organizing working hours in a way that suits the lifestyle and commitments of its employees. As a next-generation beauty brand, Oh My Cream allows its employees to work flexibly using teleworking.

The boutique’s environmental efforts

Oh My Cream works with a number of committed partners who are on the same journey as them and same the same philosophy of inclusion and environmental protection.

A number of the brands that the boutique carries reflects the sustainability and environmental philosophy behind Oh My Cream. Ren Skincare, one of the boutique’s brands, has a zero-waste goal that it hopes to hit this year with fully recyclable packaging, including refillable bottles and packaging made using plastic collected from the sea and beaches.

The brand Patyka also packages its products in recycled cardboard, without using glue and vegetable ink for reduce environmental damage. Oskia, another brand offered by the boutique, uses bio-sourced plastic packs that are made using cane sugar. Other brands carried at the boutique, including Huilettes and Joelle Ciocco, promote sustainability by using short supply chains and sourcing directly from small and independent producers.

Oh My Cream has a logistic workshop in Ile-de-France, where your order will be packaged up and shipped. The workshop uses a number of initiatives to help limit the brand’s impact on the environment.

The on-site team at the workshop sort through the waste and ensure that it is properly recycled. Anything that can be reconditioned and recycled is upgraded. Some of the paper is used to feed paper mills, while leftover cardboard is reused by cardboard makers. Other types of waste, including wood, is reused in an appropriate manner. The boxes that arrive for their partner brands are reused to ship the merchandise to the boutiques to reduce waste. Single used plastic is minimised as much as possible to reduce the boutique’s environmental footprint.

Another method of avoiding unnecessary waste is by using a computer system that manages the expiration dates of products to prevent waste. There is only one or two restocks of the brand’s Parisian boutiques to limit the carbon impact of these deliveries.

The logistics workshop is lit using an LED system and motion detectors to keep electrical consumption at a minimal, with the on-site team being trained on consumption of consumables like electricity.

Oh My Cream Skincare

The mission of Oh My Cream Skincare is to democratize high-quality skincare and make it available at an affordable price point. The brand’s in-house skincare label is made in France, along with both the formula and packaging. On the environmental front, the brand uses glass packaging where possible and practical to do so, as well as recyclable plastic packs. The purpose of Oh My Cream is to create an increasingly eco-friendly beauty brand that takes steps everyday to improve its environmental footprint.

Within their boutiques, Oh My Cream works to minimize waste, including by using soft terrycloth linen. Their future plans include swapping out their cotton linen to bamboo, which uses less water and has a longer lifespan. The brand has set out a zero-paper goal that it wants to achieve by 2022.

Philanthropy is also at the heart of what Oh My Cream does. The brand makes regular shipments of products to associations in need, particularly those that support isolated mothers and their children. Items that are purchased for marketing shoots and items that can’t be reused are donated to people in need. Anything that can be given a new home – whether it’s office furniture or leftover food from an event – is donated to a needy cause.

Oh My Cream is a relatively young start-up at only 5-years-old but it’s already making waves within the Parisian beauty scene. What we love about it is its sustainability mission and its commitment to choosing beauty brands that meet its philosophy and environmental efforts. If you’re looking for a new private label skincare brand or a new boutique to visit, look no further than Oh My Cream.
