Even if you don’t consider yourself an amateur chef, we all have a few favourite foodie Instagram accounts that we look to look at for inspiration. Some of the food is so good we wish we could reach into our phone screens and take a bite. With most restaurants still closed thanks to the pandemic, our Instagram feed is the nearest thing we’re getting to exotic food anytime soon. Rachel is a plant-based chef who doubles as a Youtuber as well as an Instagrammer. She’ll teach you a myriad of vegan recipes that will make switching to a plant-based diet seem even easier. Their recipes are easy to follow and you’ll be finding yourself in the kitchen within a few minutes of scrolling through their profile.
Tieghan Gerard is one of the most popular food content creators on Instagram. She has over 2.7 million followers and is a New York Times bestseller with her book ‘HBH Super Simple Cookbook’. Her tagline is “good food” with creative and delicious recipes that are healthy for your mind and body. Whether you want something gooey for desert or a new healthy recipe, the chances are that Tieghan will have something right up your street.
This is one Instagram account you don’t want to visit on an empty stomach. Zorah Booley’s Instagram feed is full of sweet treats that make our mouth water. She’s a food photographer and Cordon Blue chef based in Cape Townza. Zorah offers gluten and diary free recipes, making it the perfect follow for anyone with dietary requirements. Hetty is the author of ‘Community; Neighbourhood; Family’ and ‘To Asia, With Love’. Her recipes come from the heart, each with a personal story to tell. They’re a reflection of her multicultural background. You can expect to see beautiful dishes with a spectrum of colours – and plenty of dumplings!
