In a recent feature with Vogue, the TikTok star spilled the tea on her favourite beauty secrets and the products that she can’t live without. During her video with Vogue, the TikTok star opened up about her struggle with skincare. Like most of us, Loren sees an alignment between skincare and self-care, something that she has a hard time incorporating into your daily routine. She admits that while skincare often feels like a task, it’s something that she focuses on having in her daily routine for its skin-loving benefits and feel-good factor.
The 19-year-old TikTok influencer and singer incorporates tapping and jade rolling into her skincare routine to waken her skin before applying a hyaluronic acid serum. It’s one product that we can all benefit from due to its hydrating properties as hyaluronic acid can hold up to 1000 times its molecular weight in water.
She finishes up her skincare routine with a moisturizer to give her dry and sensitive skin the TLC it needs and to lock in the active ingredients in her other products. Loren Gray uses a Mario Badescu facial spray to give her skin a dewy glow before moving onto her makeup routine.
Moving onto her makeup, Loren Gray talks about how she has recently started to switch up her go-to look. For the last five to six years, the singer had been loyal to her winged eyeliner look. She’s branching out and trying a more glow-infused look that’s right on trend with the more minimalistic approach to makeup and beauty in general.
The first step of her makeup routine is foundation. As Loren is a fan of spray tanning, she uses two foundations to achieve the best match to her skin tone. She uses a combination of the Soft Matte foundation by Nars and Dior’s Forever Skin Glow – before following up with the matching concealers by the two brands. Loren uses the cult-favourite beauty blender to set and blend her foundation and concealers.
During her Vogue video, Loren opens up about how she started wearing makeup because she didn’t like her appearance. Makeup became something for her to hide behind before she changed her mind set and began to appreciate makeup as a form of art, which helped her to fall back in love with her beauty routine. It’s for this reason why her makeup look has changed – focusing on enhancing her natural features instead of using it to hide away.
Loren follows one of TikTok’s most famous beauty hacks by using the Matchstick by Fenty Beauty to contour her cheeks, nose, and widow’s peak for a bronze goddess look. She uses the iconic Airbrush powder from Charlotte Tilbury to set her under eye makeup before using the Laura Mercier translucent powder on the areas of her skin where she hasn’t contoured.
For the areas of her face that she used the Matchstick, Loren follows up with a bronzer by Charlotte Tilbury before using the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Mini Palette to add a touch of shimmer to her face.
Her brow routine is easy to recreate at home with two cult favourite products, including the Brow Wiz from Anastasia Beverly Hills and Makeup By Mario’s new brow gel.
Loren hasn’t said goodbye to her love of eyeliner though. She’s recently started using a new eyeliner trick that involves using a liquid liner before smudging it with her finger and adding a little red-tone eyeshadow for a touch of drama. She joked in the Vogue video that she likes the fact it makes her look a little tired.
Her makeup routine finishes with false lashes, mascara, and a touch of lipstick. Everything is set with a setting spray to help it last all day long.
